Federal Reserve Financial Education Day
Wednesday, October 23, 2013 is Federal Reserve Financial Education Day. Your local Federal Reserve Bank or branch will be hosting events, such as professional development workshops for teachers and those involved with after school and student programs. The goal: to promote discussions about the importance of financial education. Staff from the Reserve Banks and branches will showcase free personal finance resources from throughout the Federal Reserve System as well. Town Hall with Former Chairman Bernanke: A Program for Educators
As the Federal Reserve System commemorates 100 years of service to the American people, former Chairman Ben Bernanke would like to share his perspective with educators around the country. Join local educators at the Fed for a special program on the evening of Wednesday, November 13, 2013. After his lecture focused on the Federal Reserve's Centennial, key facts about the Federal Reserve's history and the wealth of educational resources available, audience members will have the opportunity to ask the former chairman follow-up questions.
In-person attendance at the event is by invitation only and advance registration is required. A webcast will take place from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. (EST) for additional participants. Additional details will be provided in advance here.
